Swimming Pool Contractors in Hyderabad

RCC and fiberglass pools built across Hyderabad and Telangana — from Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli to the farmhouse belt at Moinabad, Mokila and Shankarpally. We check the rock before we quote, not after we dig.

Swimming pool contractors in Hyderabad typically charge ₹2,000 to ₹5,500 per square foot of water surface for RCC construction, and ₹2,000 to ₹3,500 for fiberglass. A 12 × 24 ft family pool usually costs between ₹7 lakh and ₹15 lakh and takes 8 to 14 weeks — longer where rock excavation is involved.

Choosing a Pool Contractor in Hyderabad

Most people who call us have already collected two or three quotations and found that they cannot be compared. One is a single lump sum. Another gives a rate per square foot but will not say what it includes. The third is suspiciously low, and usually turns out to exclude excavation.

The confusion is the real problem, not the price.

A swimming pool is a watertight structure holding fifty to a hundred tonnes of water, sitting on ground that moves, connected to plumbing that gets buried under concrete and cannot be reached again without breaking something. The
decisions that determine whether it lasts twenty years or leaks in three are all made before anyone sees water.

In Hyderabad specifically, two of those decisions dominate everything else: what is under the soil, and where the water is going to come from.

What Building a Pool in Hyderabad Actually Involves

Rock is the number one cost variable in Hyderabad

Hyderabad sits on the Deccan plateau, and much of the city is built on granite and gneiss bedrock with a shallow soil layer over it. In parts of Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Gachibowli, Kokapet and Narsingi, you can hit solid rock within two or three feet of the surface. On other plots a few kilometres away, you candig ten feet through soft murram before anything hard appears.

That single variable is the most common reason two quotations for the same pool differ by four or five lakh rupees.

Breaking rock is slow and expensive. Depending on hardness and volume, it can add thirty to sixty percent to excavation cost and one to three weeks to the schedule. On tight urban plots where blasting is not an option, it means hydraulic breakers and chemical splitting, both of which take longer.

We dig a trial pit or arrange a soil test before quoting. Where rock is likely, it goes into the bill of quantities as a separate line with a rate against it, so you know the ceiling before you sign. A contractor who quotes without checking will return with a revised figure once there is a hole in your garden and very little room for you to negotiate.

Where your pool water is going to come from

This is the question nobody asks until the pool is finished, and in Hyderabadit deserves asking first.

A 12 × 24 ft pool at average depth holds roughly forty to fifty thousand litres. Filling it is a one-time cost. Keeping it full is not.

In peak Hyderabad summer, with temperatures over 40°C and dry air, an open pool of that size loses a meaningful volume to evaporation every single day. Add filter backwash and splash-out, and you are typically looking at one to two tanker loads a month through March to June if you are on borewell or tanker supply rather than municipal water.

None of this is a reason not to build a pool. It is a reason to design for it. A pool cover cuts evaporation substantially. Correct filtration sizing reduces how often you backwash. Automated dosing stops the over-correction cycle that wastes water. We size all three for Hyderabad conditions rather than applying a generic spec, and we tell you the likely monthly figure before you commit.

Hyderabad borewell water is hard, and it will show

Most of the city outside reliable municipal supply runs on borewell water with high calcium hardness and high total dissolved solids. Fill a pool with it untreated and you get scaling on the tiles and fittings, water that stays slightly cloudy no matter how much chlorine goes in, and shortened equipment life.

The usual response is to add more chemical, which makes it worse.

We test your actual source water before specifying the filtration and dosing system. Sometimes the answer is a different filter media. Sometimes it is a pre-treatment stage. Occasionally it is simply advising you to fill from a different source. It is a short test that prevents years of frustration.

The farmhouse belt: Moinabad, Mokila, Shankarpally, Chevella

A large share of Hyderabad’s pool construction happens outside the city, on weekend farmhouse properties in the Moinabad, Mokila, Shankarpally, Chevella and Shamshabad belt. These sites bring their own considerations.

The terrain is generally rocky, so excavation cost needs establishing early. Machinery access on approach roads has to be checked before quoting — whether an excavator and a concrete mixer can physically reach the pool location changes both method and price.

Most importantly, nobody lives there during the week. A pool that needs daily attention is a pool that will be green every Friday evening. We build farmhouse pools to run unattended: automated dosing, timer-controlled circulation, and filtration sized above requirement to handle dust, leaves and the debris that comes with open land.

Rooftop and terrace pools in the Financial District corridor

In Gachibowli, Kokapet, Narsingi, Manikonda and the Financial District, plots are expensive and space is tight, so more clients are asking about rooftop and terrace pools.

Every one of these starts with a structural assessment of the building, not a design. Water weighs a tonne per cubic metre, and a modest terrace pool is a substantial permanent load on a structure that may not have been designed for it. Waterproofing detail at the junction with the building, drainage routing, and access for equipment servicing all have to be resolved before anything is drawn.

If the structure cannot take it, we will tell you that. It is a shorter conversation than the alternative.

What running a pool costs in Hyderabad

For a 12 × 24 ft residential pool, budget roughly ₹4,000 to ₹10,000 a month. That covers pump electricity, chemicals, water top-up and either your own time or a maintenance contract.

The Hyderabad-specific line is water. From March to June, evaporation and backwash on a pool that size typically mean one to two tanker loads a month if you are not on municipal supply. A pool cover reduces that meaningfully.

We would rather you knew this before you built it.

Weekly, fortnightly and monthly plans with genuine spares and emergency call-outs, for residential, farmhouse, resort and institutional pools.

How We Work

We check the rock before we quote

A trial pit or soil test before the quotation means excavation is priced, not discovered. You see the ceiling before you sign.

Waterproofing goes into the concrete, not on top of it

Crystalline treatment that penetrates the slab, plus membrane layers at joints & penetrations — which is where pools actually leak.

Plumbing is pressure-tested before it is buried

Every line is pressurised and held before backfilling. You are welcome to watch the gauge.

Filtration is sized for your water, not from a chart

Hyderabad borewell water is hard. We test the source before specifying the system.

Our own teams do the work

Civil, waterproofing and MEP in-house. Nobody subcontracts your site to a crew you have never met.

We are still here afterwards

Repair, servicing and AMC — including on pools we did not build.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do swimming pool contractors in Hyderabad charge?

Between ₹2,000 and ₹5,500 per square foot of water surface for RCC construction, and ₹2,000 to ₹3,500 for fiberglass. A 12 × 24 ft family pool typically costs ₹7 to ₹15 lakh. The range is wide mainly because of rock — excavation on a rocky plot can cost several times what it does on soft ground.

An RCC pool takes 8 to 14 weeks from excavation to handover, including curing that cannot be rushed. Fiberglass shells install in 2 to 4 weeks. Rock excavation adds one to three weeks depending on hardness and volume.

You do not, until someone checks. We dig a trial pit or arrange a soil test before quoting. Plots in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Gachibowli, Kokapet and much of the farmhouse belt frequently hit rock within a few feet, but it varies plot to plot — sometimes across a single site.

Most Hyderabad pools are filled by tanker or borewell. A 12 × 24 ft pool holds roughly forty to fifty thousand litres. Through summer, evaporation and backwash typically mean one to two tanker loads a month. A pool cover and correctly sized filtration reduce that considerably, and we plan for it at design stage.

For a private pool inside your own plot, separate building permission is usually not required, but setback rules, plot coverage limits and your gated community or association bylaws all apply. Rooftop pools, apartment pools and any commercial pool have additional structural and approval requirements. We check what applies to your specific site during the survey.

Usually hard source water, undersized filtration, or both. Much of Hyderabad runs on borewell water high in calcium, which scales tiles and clouds water regardless of chlorine level. Adding more chemical makes it worse. The fix is treating the source and correcting the filtration.

Yes. A large share of our repair and renovation work is on pools built by other contractors. We inspect first and tell you what condition the pool is actually in — including when the honest answer is a small repair rather than a rebuild.

Concrete if you want a custom shape, unusual depth, an infinity edge, or a pool meant to last 25 years and more. Fiberglass if the site is straightforward, a standard size works, and you want it finished within a month. On plots with difficult access, fiberglass can be impossible simply because the shell will not fit down the approach road.
